Chueca neighborhood: Madrid Soho

Infantas by Mij Hotel is located in Chueca, in Madrid city center. Our neighborhood is full of live, is one of the most cosmopolitan and funny of the city and also the center of the gay life in Madrid and Spain, sorrounded by some of the most important streets of the capital such as Catellana Av, Paseo del Prado, Gran Vía or Fuencarral street....

Its hub is Chueca square, where the metro station is. Hotel Infantas by Mij is close to this square which is really one of the funiest places in our area very close to San Anton Market, where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, meat or just have a good wine at the upper flor, full of terraces when the good weather comes and around the square you can find many different kinds of restaurants, bars, pubs and clothing shops.

On one side of the square there is a place that you must not miss "Bodega Angel Sierra" which has preserved its charm of 1900 year, with its mural painted on the ceiling to advertise the historical Reus Vermouth.

San Anton Market has been re-opened recently and has given even more life to the area and has become a must-do in Madrid with its restaurants and "tapas" bars.

There are many different restaurants and bars highly recommended during your visit to Madrid and you can ask for any of them at the hotel recption. In them as in the whole area of Chueca, converge the traditionals and the progessives, both classics an moderns, the past with the most current trends.

Some of the places we recommend are restaurant La Rita which is inside our hotel. Nice to meet you with its marvellous sights, Mercado de la Reina (do not miss its Gyn Tonics), the traditional Bocaito bar and endless places where you can practice the art of good eating.
